SOUTH AFRICA (SUMMER 2015)

All praise to Allah, peace and blessings upon his Prophet.

This campaign was a dream coming true and a new page in the history of ruqya. When I first came in December 2013 – January 2014, there were only a few people that started learning and practicing my method from my website and my contact. So many people were trained and centers started in Johannesburg, Durban and Newcastle. My other raqis came from France 3 times for campaigns so that continued the training and establishment of centers. But this time, things were very different: I had 10 local raqis waiting for me to start campaign with five catchers and the experience of organizing campaigns.

The first thing that left me so happily surprised was the positive response of the ulamas. When we started in Capetown, we were doing everyday talk in a mosque and conference in madrasa, and all those Islamic students and their professors were so thirsty to learn about ruqya. We also did twice a seminary for ulamas at the Muslim General Council, the board responsible for all Muslim affairs in Capetown. Many ulamas also trained on ruqya and started practicing. Many others came for treatment or brought their families. Look how the imams in Brussels, Belgium, responded to my speech in the previous campaign report and you’ll see the difference. So the ruqya accepted and backed by ulamas is the opening for the umma, and all those students are a new generation of ulamas coming and already eager to be raqis, because we could show the catching every time, so after I explain everything when we catch the djinns and I make them say what they are doing that shows the truth of everything I explained.

I must add that we didn’t find any opposition anywhere. We went to visit the ulamas that are known for their strict positions and they were happy to find a solution from Quran and Sunna for the sufferings of the umma. I could explain clearly the djinn names used in taweez and how the grids with numbers are djinn codes and nothing Islamic such as Quran and names of Allah, and everybody found that very clear. At one time, news came out that I was a salafi but that didn’t go very far. In the first campaign few mosques accepted to put our posters but now very few refused. I was feeling as if a prophet came to his people and everybody came to celebrate his coming: “A prophet has come! We are saved!”

We were all emotional when we had ulamas, muftis, Tabligh responsible and old ustazs following our courses, asking us questions and learning with us. In Newcastle, many ustaz of dar al-uloom where their: one mufti, high responsible of Tableegh, was delighted about the spiritual program; an old ustaz that trained ulama all his life was following and taking good note; a alim making taweez that came from India after insisting a lot for me to give him some djinns to work with finally gave up and left everything he was doing. Brother Azedine trained an ustaz in capetown and he became catcher, then he did the catching in front of his Quran students!

The last and most beautiful was at dar al-Uloom Zakariya in Johannesburg. It is the strongest dar al-uloom, known for the high quality of the teaching and the teachers. When we exposed the ruqya to the director and we were waiting for his answer, this is when we turn slightly our head because we are used to receive a big slap: “all this is nonsense, bidaa, etc.” But he said: “I want this to be taught to our ustazs and students!” Allahu Akbar! We immediately scheduled a conference just before my departure and it was done, and we established a program with the local ruqya center for them to take training there.

The second big point was the Zulu community. They are the largest ethny in South Africa, in their religion they glorify and seek help from ancestors, so we know it is djinns, and they are most often drowned in djinn and magic problem. We had a first immersion into Zulu mystic world with the market of sorcerers in Durban: over 60 shops sell supplies for magicians: various herbs, powders and animals such as snakes, monkeys etc. All the sellers are also magicians and call themselves doctors. That was a fantastic opportunity for us so we sent everyday another catcher to get all the djinns from there and for all the sorcerers and clients that buy in the market. We also tried to meet the king of Zulus, but unlike usual traditional kings in other African countries, the king was very difficult to meet, more like a political personality.

It is in the night catching that I saw how easy the Zulu community was. When we went to meet the prostitutes, as soon as we tell them that we came to pray for them, they were happy and called their colleagues. So we did the catching and that showed they had tens of sorceries that made them become what they were, then more djinns and sorceries added on them keeping them stuck in that situation. After the explanations, we offer them free treatment, and some came to be treated. Wherever Zulu people are sitting, if we just say we have come to pray for them they will stop whatever they are doing and join the prayer. The most surprising experience was with a religious group of women that were in a tent for a weekend singing, dancing and playing instruments 24 hours. We went to visit them and a lady came to us and asked what we wanted. We said we came to join their prayers and they stopped everything and asked me to pray for them. I was so surprised, I didn’t do the catching but just duaa for Allah to guide them, then we left and did the catching ourselves.

We had so much concern about this Zulu community and Almighty Allah made our intentions become a reality. There was this madrassa fur Zulus in a small city called Escort. Ma sha Allah our Indian brothers pay all the fees for this madrasa that receives Zulu converts, males and females separately, teaches them Islam and then employs them to give dawa to their Zulu communities and helps them to open madrassas in Zulu areas. What a great program ma sha Allah! But many girls were getting possessed and that was becoming an obstacle for the madrassa and the whole project; in the end the girls told us that they were about to leave the madrassa and return to their communities and to the sangomas (traditional sorcerers) to seek for help, so much they were desperate. So the Mawlanas in charge of the madrassa brought the girls to us in Durban to treat them. They explained the situation to me and I said that it can’t be enough to come for a treatment and go back home, we must go to them, do a campaign in their city and treat the madrassa completely to finish the problem. They were very happy with this solution and that campaign was a success. This also showed us that good campaigns could be and had to be organized even in small cities. The Indian Muslims had opened a clinic to help local communities medically and the place was big enough for us to establish the ruqya campaign there. The first day at 8 AM I was in front of 30 students, men and women, and we went through the entire practical and theoretical training in those 4 days. We kept on catching for the girls in the ruqya center and in the night in their madrassa and the Zulu djinns kept coming and claiming they don’t accept the girls to convert and the ancestral traditions to be left until no more djinns were coming and the girls became catchers and pilots and the mawlanas got fully trained on ruqya. One of the girls had a leg twisted and stuck and could not see for months without any medical explanation. One eye opened, then another, and by the third day after intense catching we heard takbeers as she threw her crutch and started running in the center; that was great emotion as that was the victory of faith against shirk. I left some of my group to add a few days with them and they had two Zulu patients that had paralysis one in the leg and the other in the arm and both were cured before leaving the center; so more and more patients came and were saying : we heard there are miracles here! Yes, that is one of our objects I was explaining for years: ruqya is a means of daawa for non Muslims. Now that clinic has also a ruqya center with the local people trained.

Another very new aspect is the work on drug addicts. We have sometimes patients that are drug addicts and in most cases it is the sorcery that brought them in that situation; if there is no sorcery involved, there always are djinns because when someone starts to practice sins, djinns will come to participate and make it become an addiction until the person cannot control his life any more. But in South Africa drugs are a huge problem and many rehabilitation centers are run by Muslims. We managed in the very last days to visit a center near Johannesburg. The patients are received there for 6 weeks, they have a daily program of 5 prayers, duas, zikr, Quran, psychologists, gym, they have swimming pool, table tennis, mosque, a permanent imam and 3 psychologists. The place is in a farm in the countryside, and there is nowhere to run away to. Yet the success rate is 7%! We explained our purpose to the director and he gathered the 41 patients in the mosque. I explained to them about ruqya then we did the catching, and out of 41, 32 had magic that was causing their drug addiction, and all the others had djinns to worsen their situation. We also found magic done generally on Muslims to destroy them by drugs. Then the director told us he wanted ruqya implemented as part of their program, not just single visits or treatment, so that each person coming to the center will go through it as all their other activities, and that is exactly what we wanted. I left South Africa before that could be done, but the procedure is continuing in sha Allah. And by the Mercy of Allah, when new statistics will come out that will be a great news because many other rehabilitation centers are run by Muslims and they also have links worldwide.

Another achievement in this SA campaign is the partnership with doctors. We started working with an organization of doctors that do social work, but that did not reach a real partnership yet. We had quicker response from an organization of doctors that search and practice in alternative methods and natural therapies. We had a small meeting with them, and especially the director that had a big clinic dedicated to natural therapies and they were amazed how simple and clear the issues of djinn and magic were and asked that we open a ruqya unit in their clinic. Alhadu lillah, that process is also continuing.

Another breakthrough in the ruqya in this campaign is our collaboration with National Zakat Foundation and ma sha Allah in South Africa that is a huge organization. The foundation finances projects for people in need and gives them a training on how to run a business. We met the responsible of the training and explained that many people come to them because of sorcery and that makes their projects fail, so we suggest to include an awareness on magic and ruqya in the training scheme. His answer was: “when can you start? We have a trainer that is absent this afternoon, can you take her time?” So we started the same afternoon, and the 20 people following the program all had magic and were trying different solutions like taweez etc, so they all accepted to come for ruqya.

So all these are my dreams becoming a reality, and we realized in South Africa in this second campaign what we didn’t realize in any other country in the world. We also had a great lesson about unity: hearts have to be united and then Allah will help and bless our efforts. Yet I still have more dreams that couldn’t be done: working on criminals through the imams of prisons because most of them have magic and djinns making them criminals. Another program I am pushing for is going through all medias, and in SA there are very many Islamic papers and magazines so it will be very easy to give them articles on ruqya. We did program far ahead to print the ruqya book, but it didn’t happen. We also want to print the posters and work on the tafsirs and DVDs of conferences.

Another result in ruqya was the opening to new areas: we did campaigns in new cities: Port Elisabeth, Escort and Newcastle, and all that was worthy and needed more time. We also started new countries: Lesotho, Mozambique and Zimbabwe, and I discovered that all those countries have the same Islamic structures as South Africa with the Indian community. Lesotho is very small and we only spent 3 days there so we couldn’t train people and establish a center, but campaign in Mozambique was great and many people trained and started doing ruqya. We had nearly nothing to start with so we sent brothers Mohamed and Yusuf to establish some contacts and get a place and means to contact the community. Alhamdu lillah, they suffered to their limit and then Allah gave us everything, and after Maputo we continued campaign in Beira. Mozambique is quite a poor country that suffered from a long civil war after independence, so it is like 30 years behind compared to neighboring countries. The campaign in Zimbabwe was great though short. We were in wonderful conditions, in a residence for Islamic guests, may Allah bless and spread His Mercy on all those who supported us. We had a classroom of learners and particularly a family whose father became catcher and sons and daughters became raqis. Whenever I asked about Zimbabwe before going there I was told: “since President Mugabe took the lands off the white, the country is collapsed, not producing anything, to a point they lost their currency and use US Dollars”. And while I was there the news came in the paper that the President decided to give back the lands to the white and asked the governors to set a list of white farmers to run the economically strategic farms. Allahu akbar! By djinn catching we had the confirmation that because we converted so many djinns and destroyed so much sorcery, and because the black had done sorcery to beat the white, all that was maintaining that stupid situation, and now the country was freed from that.

So now I have understood that all these countries have an Islamic structure similar to South Africa: Zambia, Botswana, Malawi, Swaziland, Kenya and Tanzania, and we are preparing all those campaigns in sha Allah.

We visited a madrassa for blind people in South Africa in Petermarysburg that makes them Hafiz and Alim. Of course it is quite an experience to see those blind youth so dedicated to Islam and we with the great gift of eyesight neglect so much our religion. But I was fascinated by the dedication of those ustazs and the team of the madrassa and the development they brought in. First all that sponsored by some people who want to help Islam. Secondly they got the students from many different countries and ask for more. Thirdly they developed many techniques to help them study: they have a studio to register the books vocally so the students can listen to those books. They used to send the CDs to other madrassas around the world but now they are putting those records on internet. They translated all the books for mawlana course into Braille and have a printing room specially to make the Braille books and they send them to their network of madrassas for blind around the world. The students also have computers to learn with and that is their favorite tool because it is fast and interactive. When I left this madrassa I was seeing how far South Africans could develop the ruqya.

I can’t miss to mention the beautiful nature we saw in South Africa: Table Mountain in Capetown, Safari in Port Elisabeth where this brother bought 600 km² and filled with various animals for a lion family to feed on freely. We stopped just 3 meters from the lion on one side and his family on the other in an open jeep so they could just jump on us, so it was very impressive. I was so surprised how met was tender in SA and a Tunisian doctor who invited us in Ramadan told me he bought a 6 month lamb for aid weighing 70 kilos! It was also the first time in my life to drive at 230 kms/h.

What’s new in ruqya? First the verses we give to patients to read in their water, I want that to be understood and done by all our raqis so read carefully the explanation attached. Secondly, in the three stages of ruqya, in the expansion, we have added a fifth aspect after the geographical expansion, expansion through media, working with medical corps and working with religious corps, which is the social work: working with drug addicts, criminals and prostitutes. We have new verses in the catching as you can see them in the new catching videos, I am doing my best to put them on a spare file. This is an article which explains that some doctors in Malaysia want to learn about jinns, black magic,...
