IVORY COAST (JANUARY 2015)

All praises to Allah and prayers and blessings upon his Prophet.

This campaign by the grace of Almighty Allah was a success by several aspects and the start of a new step in the ruqya.

The first success was the collaboration with media. I had already mentioned in the 3 stages of ruqya expansion through media and I said that being limited to the same media every time results in suffocation of the ruqya because the public has been asked several times while whole swathes of society do not even know that we exist. We had already used in Abidjan mid day advertising programs, but this time we made intensive use of it and it was quite beneficial. Each time we were fitted between Christian preachers, prophets, witches or singers and we have never met other Muslims who had something to offer except the Ahmadiyya sect who organized a seminary. This shows that Muslims have very little to offer to society and ruqya is almost the only way to show non-Muslims what Islam can bring them. The new part is the collaboration with newspapers. We held a public conference - with catching demonstration as usual - with press conference and we tried to invite a maximum of newspapers and radios and we had Muslim journalists to help us. Among the present 2 newspapers really liked our cause and we were granted front page on The Expression and Hello Police. Hello Police is a paper of various facts: crimes, accidents, debauchery and mystical business and we agreed to establish a partnership: for any incident with a mystic part, journalists come to us and we do the catching and the djinns give their version of the facts. We convert, we destroy the mystical aspect in the case and we return the Djinns against those who used witchcraft. The newspaper wins because people love to know what the Djinns say of this event; we gain the advertising; and the society wins the neutralization of evil powers. More wizards feel attacked and attack us mystically, and that allows us to destroy more mystical power. I confess that I love to provoke them. The results were quick to come: we talked children sacrifices on front page of The Expression. A few days later, mercenaries who killed soldiers in the East of the country were been caught by the authorities and denounced an opposition figure who hired them to stir up trouble in the country and plunge it back into violence. We then did the catching for him and the Djinns said he was among those who sponsored child sacrifices in order to bring back the war and when the sacrifices were destroyed his Djinns turned against him and he was caught by the authorities. Then there was a spectacular death of three spammers with their two girlfriends in a car accident. Spammers are those people who spend their time on internet sending spams to scam people. In addition to this criminal activity, as soon as they have the name and picture of a person they take it to a sorcerer to bewitch him to rip off his money. We did the catching and a Djinn came and said: “Assalamu alaykom (so he was already Muslim)”. I told him: “Tell me the story of the 3 spammers”. He said: “They had satanic pacts and did witchcraft. We were with them and you converted us. We went back to fight them and we executed them!" But the most beautiful catching was undoubtedly for the African Cup. The Djinns said that they blocked the Ivory Coast since their victory in 1992 because they didn’t respect their commitment to sacrifice 11 people. It was a very long catching because we had the names of all Ivorian players and all the teams and the result is that we cannot promote anyone but neutralize all mystical forces and let the best win, except that the converted Djinns will turn against the Satanists. Now of course everyone knows that Ivory Coast has won but informed observers noticed that the blockages were lifted, that players have displayed the game they can play and that the most deserving won... except concerning the organizing country which continued to invest in mystical and other methods to win absolutely.

The second success is the opening towards Christians and generally towards other religions but in Ivory Coast there is hardly any other religion than Islam and Christianity. Of course this was the consequence of TV programs and newspapers and I repeat what I said in the Gabon campaign: non-Muslims suffer the same problems like Muslims and we have the ability to solve them by the Mercy of Allah and even if it is not to convert them to Islam necessarily it is good enough to apply this verse: "We have sent you as Mercy for all beings" and bring to non Muslims the mercy of Islam. I tried to launch the program of exchange and collaboration with Christians with a TV debate but it was not possible; in cha Allah we will work more on it in the future.

The third success was the training of imams and we were able to give a conference for imams and a word in a meeting of imams, not mentioning all public conferences where imams attend systematically. The imams found it wonderful: clear, simple, efficient and free training; they were enthusiastic to the extreme. The imam training program continues.

The fourth success was the collaboration with the medical professionals. We met a Muslim association of medical students who serve already as interns and have contact with teachers and their former comrades already doctors. The idea to deliver a lecture at the University of Medicine and invite professors was immediately accepted, but time was not enough. Similarly a head of Department of Gynecology in a large hospital wanted a Conference but time was short. However the projects are launched and follow their courses.

I move now to the second part which is the new stage in the ruqya. A name was found for our movement: Quran Cures; a logo: the Quran with a stethoscope; and an international NGO was registered in Abidjan. A Charter has been established for any centre which is part of our movement, an organization chart for each country, a global or more modestly international office, and examinations for each course. Two factors have caused this new stage: expansion of the movement that necessarily requires an organization and the bad experiences that lead us to establish rules. Therefore all raqis of my group or wishing to join our group should contact us to receive the Charter and follow the procedure. Centers already listed have one year to obtain the diplomas.

I will finish with the bad news: the failure of the campaign in Tunisia. The failure is not total because the centre is there, we trained a dozen of raqis in almost three years and some catchers, many patients have found relief and I have a French program in the Zaytuna Islamic radio. All that is much less than what we achieved by the grace of Allah in Gabon in 18 days. The causes are multiple: youth practicing religion are dominated by salafiyya and fought all the campaign attempts we have done. The media are hostile to ruqya. The advent of terrorism in Tunisia put us under investigation and suspicion, I am currently in the airport having missed my flight because of police investigation (they now tell me: there is no problem, I can leave, just have to pay another ticket). I do not remember a place where doctors are so much opposed to ruqya. Foreigners 'non-tourists' are not welcome: several couldn’t obtain visa and several who do not require visa have been turned back at the border. Partnership with other raqis? This is where I had my fiercest opponent. So no one is Prophet at home? I would rather say that the misfortune of some makes the happiness of others and I will put my effort where it can be most effective by the grace of Allah, so more campaigns and less time in Tunisia.

After this campaign in Europe it will be in sha Allah South Africa and neighboring countries after a stop in Djibouti then August in Tunisia.

May Allah accept and we use for the good of the Ummah.
